Katja Burkard is celebrating a milestone birthday in a few weeks – she will be 60 years old! Many women dread the number, but the presenter is taking it in her stride. She rang in the new year with a new Instagram post in a bikini and spread an important message.

Katja Burkard Welcomes the New Year in a Bikini

Katja Burkard spent the turn of the year on a well-deserved beach vacation and visited the Philippines with her family. Before that, the presenter went sightseeing in Hong Kong. She shared her adventures with her Instagram followers and fans and diligently posted snapshots on social media. In her latest Instagram post, Katja Burkard can be seen in a bikini, sitting on the edge of an infinity pool and enjoying the view of the sea.

She wrote the following about the new photos: “Sun, sea, beach…. A good start to the new year! But I’m also looking forward to being home. And I look forward to telling you more about my new book soon. I’m turning 60 this year – not a scary prospect for me!”

Katja Burkard: “Let’s Celebrate Our age”

Katja Burkard turns 60 in April, a topic that doesn’t upset her but still resonates with her deeply. So much so that the presenter has written a book, as she announced in the post and continued: “It’s called: 60 is the NEW 60! How do you like the title?”

The book will be published in February and is aimed at all women who, like Katja Burkard, are in midlife. “What’s so bad about turning 60? Do I have a problem with it? Quite honestly: No. Let’s celebrate our age!” is one of the comments in her book.

In the Instagram comments, many followers took a similar view and agreed with Katja Burkard. One commented: “Age is a number, it doesn’t say much. You also have to stay young inside, be curious, radiate from within!” Or: “I’m also turning 60 this year, but that’s not bad either … that’s a ripe old age; I can think about myself again. Now is my time”.

The 59-year-old also received numerous compliments for her bikini photos, including: “My goodness, the sight of you takes my breath away, very appealing, great photos dear Katja, happy new year.” Or simply short and sweet: “What a goddess.”
