Schlager singer Sonia Liebing has reversed a cosmetic surgery procedure. She decided to reduce her breast size again, but it wasn’t for aesthetic reasons. Find out more about the story on STYLEBOOK.
Weeks ago, pop singer Sonia Liebing announced on her Instagram account that she would soon undergo surgery. Not for cosmetic reasons, but to reverse a previous cosmetic surgery. After having breast augmentation, she now opted for breast reduction—and for a serious reason.
The 35-year-old had been suffering from breast pain repeatedly. As reported by MDR, the singer shared on her Instagram channel that the diagnosis was capsular contracture, making surgery unavoidable. However, after the procedure, it turned out that the issues were significantly more severe than initially thought.
What Is Capsular Contracture?
Capsular contracture is a hard, fibrous thickening that can form around an implant after breast surgery.
Shock After Surgery for Sonia Liebing
Immediately after the surgery, Sonia Liebing updated her fans on her health status. The good news came quickly: she successfully made it through the surgery. But there were complications. The operation lasted a full five hours—much longer than initially planned. The doctors later explained that the implant was defective and completely destroyed.
A major shock for the pop singer, who called her past breast augmentation a big mistake. She urges all women to avoid so-called cheap surgeries. A surgery that is so inexpensive can’t be good, Liebing said.

Pop Singer Satisfied with Result
Although the news of a completely damaged implant was certainly shocking, the pop singer is happy with the result. She saw her breasts and immediately cried with joy, she shared in an Instagram story. Why the implant was found in such a destroyed state remains unknown. However, she is apparently back home and recovering.
