She was able to identify some of them, including model Adriana Lima (twice), actress Jessica Alba, and actors Ian Somerhalder, Orlando Bloom, Josh Holloway, and Travis Fimmel (once each).
However, one face remained unidentified and became known as “Celebrity Number 6”. Over 40,000 users took part in the search, but “Celebrity Number 6” presented everyone with a big puzzle. Is it a woman? Or is it a man? Attempts were made to find and contact the designer of the fabric, image searches were combed through, and artificial intelligence was called in. However, for four years, “Celebrity Number 6” remained a nameless face on a piece of fabric.

Now, the mystery has finally been solved. On September 8, user StefanMorse wrote that “Celebrity Number 6” is supposed to be Leticia Sardá – a Spanish model who is said to have graced the cover of the magazine “n°162” in March 2006. It is not known where he got this information from.
The user IndigoRoom then searched for the photographer who had shot the cover and was able to track him down. Leandre Escorsell remembered the shoot and model and provided the original photo, which was probably printed on the fabric without his permission.

The mystery surrounding “Celebrity Number 6” now seems to have been solved. However, the question remains: Who is the model Leticia Sardá? If you’re not on the Reddit platform, then the search for “Celebrity Number 6” may have passed you by for the last four years. That’s what happened to Leticia Sardá, who didn’t even know that 40,000 people were looking for her. Until a few days ago, the Spanish model lived a secluded life, far away from the public eye. She doesn’t even seem to have had a (private) Instagram account. In response to the hype surrounding her in recent days, she has now opened an account and posted a recent photo of herself – holding the original photo of the piece of fabric. She wrote: “What a crazy week … Here I am setting up my new account.”
In an interview with the Spanish magazine Vanity Fair, she expressed her total surprise: “I still can’t believe it. I had no idea about any of this until two days ago. I’m still coming to terms with it.”

What is the model doing today?
Not much is known about Leticia Sardá so far. She lives in Tenerife, and she had her first modeling experience at the age of 13. At 16, she went to Milan on her own to further her career. In 2009, the 44-year-old gave up modeling when her grandmother fell seriously ill and, from then on, concentrated on her family and friends. Before that, she traveled all over Europe for jobs and is said to have modeled for Burberry and Levi’s, among others.
She then settled in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Spain and started a family. She is now separated from her husband and works in the hotel and catering industry.
